We are both thrilled and delighted to have been named on the shortlist for the 2017 Architect of the Year Awards. Our work has been nominated in the prestigious Individual House Architect of the Year category. Considering the magnificent examples of work achieved in this field over the last year, we are truly honoured to join the other seven practices and studios put forward in contention for the title.
This most recent award nomination brings to mind a very interesting dynamic of the position we find ourselves in. When many people consider working with an established, award winning name they undoubtedly think of the cost. Fortunately we work hard to differentiate ourselves from every other architect London is home to in this regard. We want people to approach us without any fear of how costly working with our team it.
A key factor behind our work being honoured with awards is our strong focus on affordability. We do not subscribe to the view that achieving the greatest results in architecture is possible only through exploring the most expensive avenues. Our informed concentration on sustainability is as concerned with the financial impact of work as it is the environmental.
The 2017 Architect of the Year Awards ceremony will be held in early March. We are looking forward to attending and celebrating some truly remarkable work across all fields and disciplines of architecture.
One of the key features of all work nominated this year is the strong sense placed on affordability and economic considerations such as sustainability. We are delighted that the principles of this have been embraced across our profession, and feel all the more honoured by our own nomination as a consequence.
If you would like to learn more about the projects that have helped us earn our nomination you can view them on our website. Our Modern Mews continues to stand out but we also urge you to look at the Hidden House and Modern Detached. There are plenty of other noteworthy homes to look at too.
