One of the most surprising movements in architecture was the focus on high-tech in the 70s and 80s. The philosophy was to create buildings that were functional rather than focusing on aesthetic artifice. The popularity of a series of other styles, including post-modernism and de-constructivism, meant the movement was over by the 90s. But many modern principles can trace their roots back to high-tech. Brexit is affecting architectural projects
The continued concerns about Brexit are creating issues for architectural firms in the UK. These issues are highlighted in a survey by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
