It would be fair to suggest that, at first look, a recent University student project which saw some foldable market stalls being designed and built would seems to have low to no relevance to us or the work we do in respect of residential architecture in London. What might surprise you is the fact that this project was one of many initiatives which were seen at the 2016 London Festival of Architecture during June. Selecting the designers for Barack Obama’s presidential library
Last year seven finalists were chosen for the design of the future presidential library for Barack Obama. In December each one was asked to submit their formal proposals for the project so they could be considered. The designers have now been selected and were revealed in a recent announcement. The architects will be Tod Williams and Billie Tsien, a team from New York. They will take the lead on the project with help from IDEA. Continue reading
