Carpet in bathrooms

This was a hot trend during the 60s and 90s. The aim was to make the space feel more luxurious. However, its practicality has constantly been under debate. More people speak negatively of it now than anything else. That is easy to understand because carpeting and water don’t mix very well.

Artex

We will finish off with artex ceilings and walls. This was another popular design choice that would add texture. They were all the range in the 70s. Following the 2000s though, the swirly design fell out of favour, hard. It was difficult to repair. Not only this, but it was made with asbestos until the 80s. This is a bad trend and then some.
