If there’s one word that we would hope people who view our work associate with us it would be responsibility. For the most part we mean this in a quite universal sense, as our undertaking is always to make sure that our work is imbued with a sense of the importance of being environmentally friendly. We do, however, choose to use the word in a much more specific way when we take on projects and guide them to a successful completion.

At the moment one of the main talking points within the architectural community is the subject of responsibility. The discussions on this subject seek to gain a clear understanding of just how responsible an architect should be for the successful completion of a building or construction project. Whilst a traditional view was that an architect’s involvement had finished the moment a final presentation of plans had been accepted, today there is an appreciation of what can be achieved by ensuring they remain involved throughout the whole course of the process.

The way in which we work has always had a deep understanding of this. For us it has always felt perfectly natural to provide project management services in regards of our architectural work. As we have the most informed understanding of the plans being worked on, it makes perfect sense to allow us to ensure they are implemented as intended and to the greatest success. It would, if we’re honest, be rather optimistic to assume that any building or renovation work would go ahead without any alterations or complications affecting it – who better to be on hand to successfully manage them than the people responsible for the design?

Project management has always been one of the core concerns of our work. We’ve never once doubted that our involvement across the whole life of a project was the most beneficial and efficient approach to take. We are delighted by the fact that this is something being discussed across the profession at the moment, and it is with pride that we note our way of doing things is being widely regarded as the most advantageous.
