2015 marks the tenth birthday of our architectural practice, and we couldn’t think of a more fitting way to celebrate the milestone than to display our passion for architecture, photography and design with an exhibition. It is this same passion that led founder Phil Coffey to start the practice so we feel it is the right way to mark the occasion.
The exhibition, Exposure – Coffey Architects, will be held at the RIBA Practice Space, 66 Portland Place in London. It will run from 10.00am on October 15th until 5.00pm on November 24th, opening every day of the week to welcome visitors and show them what inspires us. Opening hours are 10am until 5pm every day except Tuesdays, where the venue will be open until 8pm. Entry is free of charge.
The exhibition will explore the relationship between photography and architecture, two areas we are immensely passionate about. We will also take a close look at lighting, and the importance of how the design of spaces affects the experiences that inhabitants have.
To give visitors a real insight into our practice we will be displaying photographs that Phil Coffey has personally taken during his global travels. These shots show the landscapes, places and people that influence our work and inspire us. There will also be images taken from several projects we have been involved in.
To enhance the experience further, we will be displaying models of completed work and upcoming projects to demonstrate how our work is continuously evolving. Each of these is created during the design phase to provide a 3D view of how designs will look and feel. We have even created some models purely to show off our big ideas for the future of architecture.
If you would like an insight into what makes Coffey Architects tick and inspires us, please feel free to visit the exhibition and celebrate the past ten years and the future with us.
