At Coffey Architects, we believe sustainability is a crucial aspect of all architectural work. We take great care to ensure our work is as environmentally friendly as possible, complementing and enhancing the environment around it. It is in the light of this, we were delighted when our founder, Phil Coffey, was invited to speak at the prestigious 2015 RIBA Lectures in Hampshire.
We’re always happy to take the opportunity to speak about what we do and share insights into our approach. At our practice we never lose sight of the fact that architecture is in a perpetual state of transitional evolution. Just as our team were informed and inspired by the architects before us, we trust that we can do the same for those who are passionate about joining our profession. We take pride in the celebrated and award winning architecture we’ve delivered, and hope it can inspire others to push for the architectural greatness that we value highly.
Over the many years Phil has worked as an architect, London has not been the only place to embrace his vision. Our team has been invited to carry out work in places across the world, with one of the most recent examples being the ambitious, 400,000sq ft. ‘Cloister’ project in Qingdao, China. Our practice was selected for the qualities we could bring to the project through our previous work in modern commercial architecture whilst being founded in traditions, and we trust the work we have carried out will stir the imagination of those who want to pursue their own dreams of design.
We’d like to thank RIBA and all at the Winchester Discovery Centre for allowing Phil the opportunity to speak on his passions. We hope our fellow speakers and all the guests who attended gained and enjoyed as much as we did, and that we could provide some valuable insights for the architects of the future who will enable our profession to evolve even further.
