For over a decade now we have worked on developing our skills in the commercial sector with the purpose of providing our clients with complete satisfaction. Architecture might be a challenge, but that has never stopped us from providing our services to the best of our abilities.
Learning is the most important step towards becoming an architect and everyone in our line of work has at some point been a student of architecture. Despite their age or inexperience, it is quite possible for students to come up with brilliant designs that are recognised and rewarded by others. In fact each student has the potential to offer a new perspective and fresh ideas.
Recently, an Aberystwyth architecture student was awarded the National Eisteddfod scholarship. The student was given this honour for her concept of creating a Welsh Cultural Centre within a new structure in Liverpool. The student beat eight others to win the prize which was supported by the Design Commission of Wales. The purpose of the scholarship is to help promising young architects to further their knowledge and exercise their creativity.
The student’s design incorporated patterns into the Liverpool building’s facade which were inspired by traditional Welsh blankets. This includes quilts carried by those who sailed from Liverpool to Patagonia in 1865. The winning student is passionate about Welsh myth and history, and passion is a vital part of our industry. Our passions for our work drive us to create the most aesthetically pleasing pieces of architecture for our clients. As long as we continue to be passionate about what we do, we will always be capable of delivering a first-class service to our clients.
At Coffey Architects we have extensive knowledge and experience in working with commercial architecture. We might be based in London, but we have also provided our services to clients located around the world, including several in China. We approach each project with an open mind and look to create the perfect design for the client.
