A new exhibition at the Museum of Sydney will display beautiful examples of stunning homes and living spaces to promote how experimentation with residential architecture can have a beneficial effect on how people live. On show will be amazing, vivid images of local and international projects. The exhibition will be titled ‘Superhouse: architecture and interiors beyond the everyday’ and will run from August 29th until November 29th 2015.
Properties are designated as superhouses when they combine a natural setting, remarkable materials, exceptional craft and innovation to produce something truly special. The interior and exterior should work together seamlessly, creating a living space that enriches the lives or the inhabitants.
There will be 15 extraordinary properties on show split into 5 different themes; re-make, the land, rooftops & skylines, small spaces and finding form. Properties from several countries including Australia, Italy, the UK, Brazil and the US will all appear, each showcased in a number of beautiful images. Alongside these there will also be a series of talks with guest speakers from a range of different specialisms including architecture and the built environment.
The exhibition will be a fantastic exploration of residential architecture and the impact designs can have. The properties were all specially selected because they showcase cutting edge designs, make special use of materials and take a unique look at the form and function of living spaces. Each one was professionally photographed to capture both the design and the essence behind it.
As an award winning architect in London, we are passionate about designing stunning homes for clients in the UK and around the entire world. We take inspiration from all kinds of properties and ideas, experimenting wherever we can to ensure we produce stunning designs. The ‘Superhouse’ exhibition will be a fantastic opportunity for designers to broaden their horizons and consider what can be done when design and living spaces are considered equally. It will also bring together fifteen of the most cutting edge examples of residential architecture in the world.
