Being an open-minded and committed team of architects in London, we seek to create something truly unique for our clients. Having already completed a host of diverse projects throughout the years, including the likes of modernised mews house refurbishments, office redesigns, and libraries, there isn’t much that is out of our reach. No matter the scale and type of project that we are working on, we have the skills needed to bring it to life.
It has recently been announced by the World Architecture Festival that the 10th edition of the event, known as the “Oscars of architecture” will soon take place. This announcement has come in the form of the launch of the WAF manifesto. It identifies those principal challenges that the industry is set to face over the next decade. Created for the purpose of producing funding for architectural research, the manifesto also summarises a host of topics where professionals can utilise their influence to affect the entire society.
During a period of intense change across the earth, architects shall play a crucial role in creating public locations, cities and landscapes. All of them will need to respond to the challenges that the WAF have identified.
A considerable amount of research is being conducted throughout the industry. The WAF hopes to draw attention towards it. In terms of specifics, the previously mentioned challenges include cultural identity, energy, climate, carbon, aging, water, health and many others too. At present, the plan is for WAF 2017 to be hosted at Arena Berlin from November 15-17.
