This year’s Bartlett School of Architecture Summer Show will be extra special because it gets to take advantage of the new versatile spaces at the refurbished Gordon Street, Fitzrovia base. As a result visitors can expect to see some really incredible pieces of work displayed in fantastic ways. It is certainly an exhibition no to be missed if you are a fan of design and architecture.
The greatest thing about the Summer Show is that it showcases the fresh ideas of the Bartlett students. Around 500 of them will be displaying their work, with pieces utilising a range of different media. Alongside drawings and models there will be film, digital, and multimedia installations. Expect to see a huge number of incredible sights if you stop by.
Since 2013 the Bartlett Summer Show has been a part of the London Festival of Architecture. This year it is no different with the exhibition opening to the public on 24th June at 10.30am. It will run until 8th July at 8pm.
On some evenings the exhibition will be closed for private events and shows. Details of these can be found on the Summer Show section of the UCL website. Make sure you check them out so you don’t miss out on getting to see the creative pieces of work.
The opening day of the show is set to be more exciting than ever because it is family day. From 11am until 3pm families can look at the exhibition together, sharing in the great designs and wonderful sights.
At Coffey Architects we can’t wait for the show and to see the creative, innovative work that has been going on at Bartlett School of Architecture. We feel that every architect in London should attend the show to have a look at the next wave of talented students who will soon be looking for firms to work for. It is a good opportunity for talent spotting and also provides a great deal of inspiration for our own work.
