Our awards

We pride ourselves on delivering nothing less than 100% and continuously strive to achieve greatness in every project that we complete. From commercial architecture to residential properties, we put our full energy into every single project that is asked of us. It is this culture of excellence that drives us to great achievements in our field, something which has been recognised in the awards that we have managed to glean over the years.

For our architects in London, the journey started shortly after our inception in 2005. That same year, we were awarded the Architects Journal “40 Under 40″ award, highlighting the skill of our young architects. Once the ball began to roll, it wouldn’t stop. Just three years later, in the Daily Telegraph H & R Awards, we won the award for ‘Best Renovation’ for our Modern Terrace renovation, which made full use of the space available in a terraced house. In 2009, we were placed on the shortlist for Grand Designs “Best Redesign” for the Sky House project, a three bedroom penthouse flat, with beautiful views, roof lights and open spaces, which we followed up by being long-listed for “Young Architect of the Year” for both 2010 and 2011. In 2011, we managed to secure the prestigious RIBA Stephen Lawrence Prize and the RIBA London Award for our work on a library extension with music room capabilities for St. Patricks School Library and Music Room.

2012 would prove to be our most successful year yet. After pursuing the Young Architect of the Year award for two years, we finally managed to achieve this title in 2012. We secured the Daily Telegraph Best Home Renovation during this year as well for our work on renovating and modernising a Victorian home. We also secured two awards with the Royal Institute of British Architects, the White Rose Award and Best Small Project. We earned both of these awards for a project titled AD++ House, consisting of a two storey home extension and a garage for a home based in a conservation area. We also found ourselves as recipients as Small Project Architect of the Year for our work on transforming the BFI Library on a budget of under £1 million. On top of this, we were short-listed for the Galvanising Awards during this year as well. Very recently, our Urban Loft project managed to secure us an award at the Retrofit Awards 2014, winning an award in the Houses Under £300k category. This challenging project allowed us to make the most out of a two storey apartment and craft the apartment into a functional, modern home.

Aside from the work completed by our architects in London, Phil Coffey himself has been the recipient of several honours. He was chosen as one of the Faces of British Architecture for a 2012 exhibition in London alongside many other renowned architects. He was also named as one of the 101 Great Britons in the Independent on Sunday for 2012. As you can tell from the plethora of awards we have attained over the years, our commitment to and passion for great architecture is second to none. Whether entering competitions or providing sterling examples of commercial architecture for our customers, working with us means that you’re working with some of the most highly lauded and skilled architects in London.
